Annette Gerlach is a renowned television presenter and journalist with her most notable role, presenter of Franco-German channel Arte.
Born in Berlin Germany 1964, she moved to France to study economics before she started a successful career in journalism. After completing her studies, she joined the weekly French magazibe L’Obs, originally France Observateur in Paris.
In 1992 she joined Arte TV Channel Strasbourg, a newly founded TV channel that has been one of her most renowned roles. Since 1998 she moderated the daily news channel as the head anchor.
Annette Gerlach is often seen in prestigious cultural events from around the world, such as the re-opening of Barcelenoa and Venice theaters, the Saltzburg festival and the International Film Festival of Cannes. Annette Gerlach moderates in both German and in French.
